PAST COMPLAINTS:
PLEASE NOTE: Time and space
restrict updates on complaints
posted.
Many times educating the owner and
leading them in the
right direction solves
the problem. Also many times we just
end
up educating the complainant.
Starting in 2007 we will no longer be
posting complaints.
Complaints are
coming in at such a rate that it limits
our
ability to keep them posted

Each day HHT receives complaints of
equine abuse and neglect within our
state. Hundreds of miles are logged checking out these
complaints, and doing what we can with the resources we have. We
are not "Animal Cops" and getting the animals in need help,
isn't always easy. It takes everyone willing to get involved
sometimes to help a horse in need. We encourage people to help
us give a voice to these magnificent creatures that can not
speak for themselves. Step up, call your local officials and let
them know you expect your county to take a stand against animal
abuse. Be willing to take that extra step, and be willing to
testify if you feel you have information that would help an
animal. Let them know HHT is here to offer support within their
county and all they need to do is contact us.
To file a complaint with HHT,
look for your county below and click on the button and fill out
the form that will help us with necessary information to begin
helping animals in need.

Because HHT is located in Knox County we are
limited to the areas we can provide investigating agents for when
complaints are filed. All counties in "RED" are counties we have built
an affiliation with and can work very closely with them regarding equine
issues. The other counties we have not been able to work into a working
relationship with either due to lack of concern from county officials or
because we haven't yet had the opportunity to meet with them with our
"Hoof Beats Across Tennessee Campaign".
In counties not marked in "RED"
please voice your concerns to the local sheriffs department and let them
know that HHT is available to assist in anything they may need from
training to transport and housing. Still file your complaint
through us so we'll have a record for later reference, also if you do
not get any county help we will see what we can do from our end to help
rattle a few cages, so to speak.
